Worship

The worship of God is at the heart of our congregation.  We do try to keep in mind that the question is not so much "What am I getting out of it?" but rather "What is God getting out of it?"  We seek to be mindful that it is God we are worshipping.  Our style of worship is Reformed, which was based on a desire of the Reformers to try to model worship on how the early Christians would have worshipped.  Perhaps it is easiest to describe our worship by offering a sample order of service.  To become familiar with our pastors' sermons, please take a glance at a few recent sermons. 

Children in Worship

We hope to be a child friendly congregation.  Many parents choose to keep their children in worship with them.  For those who would prefer to have child care for their young children during part or all of the worship service, we do have a nursery.  It is staffed by a rotating pool of volunteer parents, with the help of a few of our teenagers.  During worship, we have a Children's Message in the worship service where children are invited to the front of the church for a message from one of our pastors.
